CONCACAF U17 Men World Cup Qualifying and Championship:

April 21 - May 7 in Panama.

USA beat Mexico 4-3 in the 2nd game of the group stage. I have no doubt that they will meet again in this tournament.

Match summary:
  • Mex took a 1-0 lead.
  • USA fought back to lead 2-1.
  • Mex tied it just before half time, so it was 2-2.
  • USA grabbed 2 more making it 4-2.
  • Mex poured it on late and got 1 back but could not get the tie.

The two wins and 6 points advances the USA to the next phase of the tournament - the 2nd group stage. (see tourney format details below)

Up next is final initial group stage game on Sat Apr 29 v El Salvador.
